After graduating from Texas A&M University, Dr. Donaruma completed her MD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  She pursued her internship and residency in Pediatrics at St Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was honored to accept the invitation to serve for a year as one of the Pediatrics program’s chief residents, and then concluded her training with a fellowship in a new subspecialty that, at that time, was known as Child Protection and Forensic Pediatrics. This subspecialty was christened Child Abuse Pediatrics in 2009 with the seating of the first board cetification exam.

Dr. Donaruma is board certified in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics and is currently quite happy in her position as the Program Director for the Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship, where she has worked for more than a decade.
